The Story :
At the age of 5, Wilfrid discover in a barn an unknown member of his family who was sleeping there since a long time. It was a Jaguar MKII bought new by his grand mother at Royal Elysée Paris in 1966. Few years later, the car came back to life and at the age of 10, Wilfrid learned to drive on it. It will be his first car. That was the starting point of a life fuelled by antiques cars passion. Today he always use this car as daily driver along with his 1965 Austin Cooper S MKI. After architecture Studies at the Beaux Arts of Paris, and at the IESA and Ecole du Louvres as classic art expert, he wrote a final dissertation on classic car as a work of art and its market. This led him to work on Prost Grand Prix archives auction sale.
The Working Experience :
In 2001, Wilfrid started to work for Poulain Le Fur/Sotheby’s who create the first classic cars auction sale in Europe in 1973. In 2003, he joined Artcurial auction house as specialist of the motorcars department. He worked for 8 years to what will become the first European classic cars auction house, with more than 2000 cars sold worldwide in that period. Also knowned as an independent classic cars insurance expert and historian, he use to work with many companies and institution like the Automobile Club de France, private banks and collectors. He also wrote several books and articles and has contributed to many projects.
